REVIEW Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2

The Battle Rages On in My Photo-Depiction of Harry & Voldemort
My previous blog on Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 began with, "I did not start out as a Harry Potter fan, but gradually became one." After watching the final installment, it suddenly dawned on my why: the marvelous supporting cast and first rate English actors. That and production values that continue to astonish and delight. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 might not please the critics, but for me, I could not have been more throughly engrossed and supremely entertained.

I know, what you're really wondering is that regardless of the incredible cast, the fine acting and high production values, did Part 2 offer a satisfying conclusion to our much beloved Harry Potter series. From my point of view the answer is a resounding yes, and then some. I so much want to share my perceptions but do not wish to reveal any of the surprising twists and turns and risk spoiling a scintilla of your enjoyment.

However, if by my praise you come to believe that the audience will come away with a full understanding the complete picture, you will be disappointed. Though the director, David Yate's version is thoroughly satisfying, I am sure there will be those who will be baffled, if not a tad miffed why so much of Rowling's nuanced storying telling was omitted.

Regardless, if the box office totals are any indication, with the midnight opening decimating previous records with an astounding $43.5 million, whose narrative is most popular will have scant effect on the succes of series. And with an estimate 168.55 million opening weekend, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part is the top-grossing movie of all time, even surpassing 'The Dark Knight."

As a courtesy to Harry Potter fans, I have kept the Harry Potter Photographs from my previous past below. I 'grabbed' from the recently released movie trailer. I originally posted them primarily for my daughter (as well as to increase exposure to Orange County Photographer, Mark Jordan Photography). Then it occurred to me that there just might be other Harry Potter fans floating about who too might appreciate the opportunity to get a static glimpse of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2. If you have yet to see the film you will soon see that it promises to be worthy of the hype and anticipation. I only wish my daughter's Marine boot camp would have begun one week later so that we could have experienced the opening together.

"Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2," is the final adventure in the Harry Potter film series. The much-anticipated motion picture event is the second of two full-length parts.

In the epic finale, the battle between the good and evil forces of the wizarding world escalates into an all-out war. The stakes have never been higher and no one is safe. But it is Harry Potter who may be called upon to make the ultimate sacrifice as he draws closer to the climactic showdown with Lord Voldemort. It all ends here."

OK, so I had to mention what cute boy Harry was as an infant...

And so it begins.

This post, being a movie review, makes it a challenge to find appropriate places to insert photographer keywords about my family portrait studio, Mark Jordan Photography. Initially I simply opted out of including any mention of either my photography studio, that I am one of a select few portrait photographers in Orange County who Master photographers, or that my other portrait studios, Orange County Headshot or Orage County Senior Portrait are all my portrait studios.
However, now that my Harry Potter movie reviews have tens of thousands of hits, it occurred to me that I am missing an opportunity to increase my family portrait photography internet presence. It would be foolish not to at least attempt to say something about my portrait photography services, such as beach portraits and high school senior portraits, let alone that I have websites dedicated to them: Orange County Beach Portrait, Orange County Children Portraits, or even Orange County Family Portrait.

Nevertheless, no matter how much it would benefit my studio photography, I was simply unable to find a way to naturally insert family portrait photography words such as Orange County Photographer, or portrait photographers, let alone photographers in Orange County.

Therefore, I will forgo trying to squeeze the proverbial square peg in a round hole and simply forget mentioning that Mark Jordan Photography creates family portraits, park portrait, beach portraits. Sadly, I had hope to at least say something about OC Headshot, where we not only photograph corporate executives, but businessmen, as well as headshots for the arts, actors, musicians, authors and writers. Thanks again for dropping by.

Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows Part 2 Photos

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2
"Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2," is the final adventure in the Harry Potter film series. The much-anticipated motion picture event is the second of two full-length parts.

But it is Harry Potter who may be called upon to make the ultimate sacrifice as he draws closer to the climactic showdown with Lord Voldemort."

It all ends here.

I did not start out as a Harry Potter fan, but gradually became one. My youngest daughter approached the franchise with similar feelings but was much more skeptical than me. Today, she's read every book and most in multiples. In fact, only my eldest daughter and I have not read a single Harry Potter. Regardless, I have come to enjoy the movies and am looking forward to the release of the newest and final film, "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2."

Below are several
Harry Potter Photos I 'grabbed' from the recently released movie trailer. I posted these Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows photos primarily for my daughter (as well as to increase exposure to Orange County Photographer Mark Jordan Photography). Then it occurred to me that there just might be other Harry Potter fans floating about who too might appreciate the opportunity to get a static glimpse of the yet to be released photos of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2. As you will see, the film promises to be worthy of the hype and anticipation. I, for one, will be attending the midnight opening with my kids.

Since the first posting of these images my blog has received thousands of visits and now that the release of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 is almost here I'm getting reports that my blog is taking longer and longer to load. So sorry - but thanks for hanging in there!

REVIEW: Should you be interested in reading a "REVEW - Lite" I have posted an additional blog with these same images, along with a few words about the excellence of this final chapter in the Harry Potter series. There are no spoilers contained within.

Oh, after months of posting these photographs, my SEO (Search Engine Optimization) expert called to remind me I failed to mention my portrait studio, Mark Jordan Photography, and that I am an Orange County Photographer in Rancho Santa Margarita, where I specialize in family portraits, high school senior portraits and Orange County headshots. Thanks for indulging me!

Having not yet seen the film, I am not certain of the exact nature of the photographs. So, if you're anything like me, just enjoy and make use your imagination. I've already created plausible scenarios for each...

Oh, it just struck me, Maddi will have already left for Marine bootcamp at Perris Island! Looks like it'll be just Mason and me to attend the midnight extravaganza. Kari would love to go but her limit is 10:00. When Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 2 does release in July, I would love to hear your take.

ADDENDUM 7-13-11
Just found a dozen or so new Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Photos - Seeing that time is of the essence, I will simply post these Harry Potter Photos but not caption them. Enjoy!
